Saboda haka za mu bi su dalla-dalla, domin mu yi bayaninsu, in sha Allahu. MASU FARALI Za mu fa ra da bayanin abin da ake nufi da masu farali. WA YA KAMATA YA TSAYA A BAYAN LIMAN?

Hadejia A yau! Assalamu Alaikum! Godiya ta tabbata Ga Allah wanda ya Halicci Mutum da Aljannu dan mu bauta masa.

Tsira da Aminci su tabbata ga shugabanmu Annabi Muhammadu, wanda Allah ya Aikoshi da Alqur'ani da Salloli guda Biyar (5).

Bayan haka Al-ummar Musulmi Musulunci yana da tsare tsare wanda Idan ka bisu zaka rabauta! Hakika Tsayuwa a bayan Liman a yayinda ake sallah ba na kowa bane na Masana ne! Domin Idan Liman yayi kuskure a sallah sune suka san Irin abinda zasu fada masa dan ya gyara.

Idan wanda baida Ilmi ya tsaya bayan Liman kuma aka samu akasi Liman yayi Kuskure kana tunanin zai iya gyara masa? Bazai iya ba, saidai ya sake batawa.

Manzo (s.a.w.) yana cewa :- An sanya muku Liman dan kuyi koyi dashi, Idan yayi Ruku'i kuyi Ruku'i, Idan yayi Sujudi kuyi sujudi.

Danme zakayi abinda Liman baiyi ba?

Sai Balaraben kauye ya fita a guje yace Ni ake Nema. Domin yaji an ambaci kamar sunansa. To dan Allah me ya janyo haka? Allah yasa mu Gane.

Tudu. Kuma kasar ta kafu tun a Karni na 17
wasu kuma sunce Karni na 15. Daga Gabas
tayi Iyaka da Daular Kanem Borno daga
yamma tayi Iyaka da Masarautar Kano. Haka
kuma daga Kudu tayi Iyaka Da Wuddiri wato
kasar Katagum. Sannan daga Arewa tayi Iyaka

Sana'ar wasa da kura wata sana'a ce wadda ta samo asali tun lokacin Maguzawa, har ta kawo ga wannan karni da muke ciki. Inda zakaga mai wasa da kurar ya sanya mata camfu a bakinta kuma yana rike da ita da sasari.

Yakanyi ta mata kirari yana zungurarta ita kuma kurar tana kugi duk don a birge masu kallo. Sannan masu wannan sana'a suna tafiya da abu biyu, wato bayan wasa da kurar suna saida magani musamman wanda ya shafi yara.
Zakaga ana kaiwa yara ana dorasu a kan kurar wai don karsuyi tsoro. Wasu kuma ana dorasu ne domin maganin fitsarin kwance.

To kowane mai wasa da kura zai fada maka dadin sana'ar da kuma wahalarta, to ko menene wahalarta? Wani mai wannan sana'ar ya tabbatar min cewa wahalarta tana da yawa musamman ma wajen yanda zaka samo kurar tun tana karama, kayi kiwonta har ta girma. To ko menene Hatsarinta? Yace hatsarinta yana da yawa Amma Allah bai taba hadasu da hatsarin ba.

Sannan shima wasa da Biri yanzu zakaga masu wasa da kurar sune sukeyi, Kuma ya kara min da cewa suna hada wasan kura da na biri ne domin kawata masu kallo.

Hadejia A yau. Ko da kaga wadannan yara kasan su waye? Wadannan su ake cewa Almajirai, ko menene Ma'anar Kalmar Almajiri? Kokuma waye Almajiri?

Almajiri ana nufin Dalibi mai neman karatun Alqur'ani kokuma Ilmin Addinin Musulunci. Domin ya zama malami mai karantarwa! Malamai sune ake yiwa take da :- Masu tsantsanin Duniya saboda kiyamah,
Masu zuyyina Adon Qur'ani.


ALMAJIRI- Idan akace almajiri a kasar Hausa ana nufin mai Neman Ilmin addini.Wadanda idan sukaji Labarin malami a duk Inda yake zasu tashi suje domin neman Ilmi.
Haka kuma Iyaye suma sukan kai 'ya'yansu domin su samu Haddar Alqur'ani ko makamancin hakan.

To a yanzu labarin ya sanja domin Iyaye suna kaiwa 'ya'yansu Almajirci ne don bazasu iya ci dasu ba, zakaga yaro baifi shekara biyar ba (5) an kawoshi wai Almajirci. Anya yaron nan ba gamuwa yayi da ragon Uba ba? Babu ruwansu da'ya'yansu sai damina ta fadi zasu debosusu tayasu Noma.

Zakaga Almajiri ya sato karfunan bakanikai ya kaiwa Makera su saya, Almajiri ya sato gwangwanaye ya kai Jaribola, Almajiri yanzu har kasuwar tsaye! Sun gamu da ragagen Iyaye su dama baburinsu karatu ba, sudai suga babu waninauyi a gabansu.

TARIHIN RAYUWAR SIR. AHMADU BELLO (SARDAUNA) 15/01/2013.

An haifi Alhaji Ahmadu Bello Sardaunan Sokoto, a ranar 12 ga watan yuni na 1910 a garin Rabbar na jihar Sokoto dake Arewacin Najeriya. Kakansa shi ne sarkin Musulmi Bello, wadda yana daya daga cikin wadanda suka kafa daular Sokoto, kuma dane ga marigayi Mujaddadi Shehu Usman Dan Fodiyo.


Ahmadu Bello ya fara makaranta a garin Sokoto, sannan ya wuce zuwa makarantar horas da malamai ta Katsina. Kafin daga bisani Sultan ya nada shi malami a makarantar Middle School ta Sokoto.

A shekarar 1938 aka nada shi Sardaunan Sokoto bayan da ya gaza a yunkurin da yayi na zamowa Sultan, wato Sarkin Musulmi. Ya kuma halarci kasar Ingila domin yin karantu kan harkokin mulki a shekarar 1948.

Ya kuma fara shiga harkokin siyasa gadan-gadan bayan dawowarsa daga karatu, inda har aka zabe shi ya zamo mamba a majalisar dokoki ta Arewacin Najeriya. Ya kuma zama ministan ayyuka da raya kasa.

Sir Ahmadu Bello ya kasance Firimiyan farko na yankin Arewa daga shekarar 1954 zuwa 1966. Sannan ya jagoranci jam'iyyar NPC ta lashe kujeru da dama a zaben da aka gudanar bayan samun 'yancin kai..

Bayan kammala zabe, ya zabi ya ci gaba da kasancewa Firimiya, inda ya nada Abubakar Tafawa Balewa ya zamo Fira Minista. Ya taka rawa sosai wajen hada kan yankin Arewacin kasar wanda keda kabilu mabiya addini daban-daban, da kuma aiwatar da ayyuka na ci gaban kasa.


An kashe Ahmadu Bello a ranar 15 ga watan Janairun shekara ta 1966, bayan wani juyin mulki da wasu sojoji 'yan kabilar Ibo suka jagoranta.

Muna kara godiya ga 'yan kwamitin wannan taro wadanda suka bada gudunmawa aka Gudanarda wannan taro Lafiya.

Kuma muna kara Addu'ah Allah ya kawo ci Gaba mai Amfani a Masarautar Hadejia! Allah ya tsaremu daga Masifu da fitintinu a kasarmu baki daya. Ameen. Hadejia A yau!

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FULANI JIHAD DYNASTY IN HADEJIA (Page one)

In 1808, Sarkin Fulani Umaru, his son and successor Muhammadu Kankiya died. Muhammadu Sambo was appointed as the new Sarkin Fulani of Hadejia. The Fulani leader's In Rinde decide to send a delegation to Sokoto to inform the Shehu of the developments in Hadejia region. Shehu Usman Danfodiyo accept the appointment of Muhammad Sambo as the New Leader of The fulani in Hadejia, condole the people over the death of Umaru and Muhammadu Kankiya, and formally installed Sambo as their new Sarkin Fulani Hadejia. After his formal installation, Muhammadu Sambo decided in 1810 to shift his base from Rinde to Hadejia but before he carried out his plan Habe Ruler of Hadejia Abubakar got the security report of Sambo's intention. Conscious of the Fulani's military success in the area, Abubakar decided to withdraw from the town without resistence.
Therefore, on the date Sambo decided to occupy Hadejia, on reaching the town, he found the town deserted and so occupied it without any resistance. From that time onwards, Hadejia became the base of the Fulani and eventually the capital of the emirate. An important development that followed the shifting of the Fulani base was the Installation of Sambo as the first Fulani Jihadist Emir of Hadejia in 1810. Thus, Sambo established the first Jihadist dynasty in Hadejia from which sprang all subsquent emirs of Hadejia to date.http://bit.ly/K2WOg4

He also unified all the territories formerly under the Habe administration, under a single central administration to the Emirate of Hadejia. Hadejia A yau!

At the time Sambo moved the Jihadists base from Rinde to Hadejia and formally established the emirate, the structure of the emirate's administration was by far modest andd until mid-century, the capital appeared to have been lesss developed.

At the time of the establishment of the emirate, Muhammadu Sambo relied on a much less formally structured organization and therefore surrounded himself with a relatively small entourage of co-favourite most of whom lacked either titles or fiefs. Therefore, Sambo had to face the difficult task of establishing the apparatus of Centralized administration in his domain. As a firs step towards the establishment of an emirate government, he appointed Yusuf his younger brother as Sarkin Auyo, and his eldest son Muhammadu Garko as Chiroman Hadejia and Makama Lele as the Galadima.
Each of the new title holders was given a specific function to perform in the administration. For example Chiroma, was the crown prince while Galadima was the prime Minister. Sambo's other appointments were those of Madaki (war commander), Ma'aji (Treasurer), Sarkin yari (chief prison supretendant), and Sarkin Wanzamai (chief Barbear). All these state officials were chieftaincy status and performed a specific assignment in the administration. Hadejia A yau!

Ya wuce Kwalejin Koyon Aikin Akanta ta Jos. Muktar ya yi aikin NYSC a jihar Ogun, a hukumar saye-sayen Kayayyaki masu muhimmanci a shekarar 1991. Da ya karasa, sai ya fara aiki sashen Kudi na Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello, a matsayin mai kula da hada-hadar sashen da bankuna. Bayan shekaru biyu, sai ya koma bankin Universal a matsayin mai kula da asusun masu hudda da bankin daga shekarun 1993 zuwa 1997. A wannan bankin saida ya kai matsayin Babban Akantan bankin. A shekarar 1997 ne ya mayar da aikinsa zuwa Kamfanin Nalado Nigeria Limited, kamfanin Namadi Sambo a matsayin Babban Akanta, daga baya ya zama Shugaban Ma’aikata, Shugaban Sashen Kudade da Shugabancin Ma’aikata. Cikin hukuncin Ubangiji, da Namadi Sambo ya zama gwamnan jihar Kaduna a 2007, sai ya nada shi kwamishinan ma’aikatar kudi, mukamin da ya rika shekaru uku. Shi memba ne na kungiyoyi da dama, daga cikinsu akwai Kungiyar Akantoci ta Kasa da Cibiyar Shugabannin Kamfanoni da ta Akantocin Kididdiga da Riritawa Kudade da ta Masu ilmin fasaha da Injiniyoyi da sauransu. Yana da aure da ‘ya‘ya, kuma mutum ne mai sha’awar karance-karance da hawan dawaki da sauraren kade-kade da kuma yin mu’amala da mutane, shi ya sanya yake da tausayi. Wani abin lura shi ne, Muktar Yero ya baiwa marada kunya, inda ya gudanar da ayyukan Ma’aikatar Kudin jihar Kaduna cikin rikon amanar da aka san shi da shi, a duk wuraren da ya yi ayyuka a baya. Saboda haka ne, aka ba shi mukamin mataimakin gwamna a lokacin da Shugaba Namadi Sambo ya zama Mataimakin Shugaban Kasa a 2010. Dattijo Alhaji Tijjani Dodo Hadejia Dan Baiwa ne, Wanda ba kowa ya san hakan ba.Wannan mutumin baya kasa a gwiwa ganin al'uma sun ci gaba. Wannan yasa ya wajabtarwa kansa fafatawa a harkokin rayuwa daban-daban domin samarwa al'uma mafita. Duk wurin da ka leka zaka hango shi saboda Jajircewa da gina rayuwar sa da yayi akan Gwagwarmaya.

shi ne kuma shugaban yan Achaba, haka kuma dogari ne a fadar Hadejia. Lalle Juyi Goma sai Wake Inji masu Iya magana.

A hannu daya kuma dan siyasa,dan kasuwa, Jama'a ya kamata mu jinjinawa wannan bawan Allah, Allah ya bamu dubu masu amfani irinsa.

Wannan hotonsa ne yana bada hannu. Bai yadda yaga abu bai yi iya bakin kokarinsa ba. Idan na magana ne zaiyi idan da karfinsa ne zaiyi idan da aljihunsa ne sai yayi.

Bayan fara baiyyanar Kungiyoyin Musulunci a Nigeria, Musamman ma Kungiyar Izala, Sai jayayya ta yi yawa tsakanin Mutane kan wassu Mas’aloli kamar ; Hukuncin Salatul Fatih, matsayin Darikun Sufaye, Hukuncin Durkuso a gaisuwa, Sadakar Fida’u bayan Mutuwa, Taron Suna da wassu Al’adun kasar Hausa, Wannan ya tilasta Malam Ja’afar neman Ilimin Littattafai. Wadanda sukayi yaki da mulkin Danniya da kama karya. Shaho birkita kaji na Garba, Bauna wanda ya dosheta babu maduhu sai wani ba tasa ba. Allah ya kyauta kwanciya. Ahmed Garba (M.K.) ko an kika irinka akeso. Har yau Taswirar siyasar Hadejia tana Hannunsa. Duk unguwarda kaje a Hadejia to akwai mutanen da a kafa kuma suka kafu. Kuma M. Bilyaminu yayi ministan Ilmi a Jamhuriya ta biyu Lokacin shehu shagari. Kuma ya rike Mukamin Chairman primary Education Board a shekarar 1999. Allah ya kyauta kwanciya. Image Hosted by ImageTitan.com HADEJIA A YAU! Alhamdulillahi Godiya ta tabbata ga Allah wanda yake bada Mulki ga wanda yaso, kuma a lokacinda yaso, Tsira da Aminci su tabbata ga shugabanmu Annabi Muhammadu wanda Allah ya aikoshi da shiriya da rarrabewa tsakanin Karya da Gaskiya!

Bayan haka muna kara Godiya ga Mai Girma Gwamnan Jihar Jigawa Alhaji Dr. Sule Lamido, wanda Allah ya bashi Mulkin Jigawa domin ya Gudanar dashi bisa Gaskiya da Adalci. Alhamdulillahi Jigawa a yau.

Ranar Litinin 5/11/2012. Mai Girma shugaban kasa ya kawo mana ziyara Hadejia a karkashin mulkin Gwamna Sule Lamido, Inda kuma akayi hawan Daba kasaitacciya. Hakika wannan abin Alfahari ne a garemu Hadejiawa kuma babu abinda zamucewa Mai Girma gwamna sai godiya.

Bayanda shugaban kasa yazo Hadejia ya ziyarci fadar Mai martaba Sarkin Hadejia Alh. Adamu Abubakar Maje, bayan yaga Hawan Daba da aka shirya masa ya gana Da Mai martaba Sarki. Kuma ya nemi Alfarma guda Uku wadda zata kara Inganta wannan yanki na Hadejia. Na farko ya nemi Alfarmar Gwamnati da ta ci gaba da aikin B.E.C. Wanda a halin yanzu ya dakata, na Biyu ya nemi Alfarmar da ayi mana Maganin Ambaliyar Ruwa da ta Addabi wasu sassa na Hadejia.

Na uku ya nemi Alfarmar a Sake Inganta Jingar Kogi wadda ake samun Asarar Dukiyoyi da amfanin Gona.

Muna kara Godiya ga Wannan Gwamnati wadda A zamaninta ne Jigawa ta tabbata Jigawa. Hakika duk wanda yasan Jigawa shekara Bakwai baya Idan yazo zai tabbatarda Jigawa ta samu Uba. Jigawa abar Alfaharinmu, Sule Lamido Abin Alfaharin Jihar Jigawa.

Hakika abubuwanda mukeji a baya kunnenmu ne yaji Idonmu bai gani ba. Dan haka ka bada saida akan abinda Idonka ya gani yafi akan abinda kunnenka yaji. Muna kara jinjina ga Mai Girma Gwamna Wanda ya daga Darajar wannan Jiha tamu. Jigawa ada take Jaririya amma a yanzu Uwace a zamanin Sule Lamido.

Ba rabuwa da Gwani ba Maida Gwani. Jigawa ta tattara Manyan Mutane masu hazaka! kama daga Gwamnan zuwa comishinoni da sauransu. Jigawa tarin Allah Lamido Ikon Allah.

Muna farawa da sunan Allah wanda da ikonsane komai ya kasance da kuma Abinda zaya kasance! Tsira da Aminci su tabbata ga Manzon Allah (s.a.w.) wanda ka aiko dashi bil’haqqi da Gaskiya.

An haifi Limamin Hadejia M. Yusuf Imam a unguwar Rumfa da ke cikin Garin Hadejia, a shekarar 10/1/1980, kuma ya fara karatun Addini a Gurin Mahaifinsa M.Abdurrahman Ya’u, bayan ya kai shekaru bakwai (7) shi da ‘yan uwansa an kaisu Makarantar Allo a unguwar Yayari, wato makarantar Mallam Muhammadu Dan birni. Bayan yakai shekaru Ashirin (20) ya koma Makarantar Malam Garba Dake ‘Yankoli, kuma anan ne ya sauke Alqur’ani mai tsarki.

A shekarar 1998 Malam Yusuf ya samu nasarar shiga Makarantar koyon karatun Addini ta Hadejia (S.A.I.S.) inda kuma anan ne ya sake sauke Alqur’ani a Ruwayar Hafsi. Tare da Na’ibinsa M. Habibu Aminu.

A shekarar 2002 Malam Yusuf ya samu nasarar shiga Makarantar Horar da Malamai dake Gumel (ATC.GUMEL) Inda ya samu saidar N.C.E. A bangaren Arabic. Kuma ya samu aikin koyarwa a ma’aikatar Ilmi dake Auyo, bayan shekaru ya dawo yaci gaba da koyarwa a Makarantar S.A.I.S. Dake garin Hadejia.

Malam Yusuf yayi karatun Ilmin Addini a gurin Malamai da dama kamar M. Usman danyaro, Malam Tela Majema, M. Akilu, M. Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa da sauran Malamai.

A ranar Asabat 5/1/2002 Malam Yusuf Imam ya fara bada Ilmi a soron Gidansu, Inda ya fara da Dalibai kamar haka:-

Mohd. Abubakar Malam namu, Ismaila A sabo, Baffale Muhd. Furdi (Baffaliya), Idris Baffa (Liyan), Yusuf abdulkadir wakili, da Adamu A Amar.

Ranar 12/feb./2006 an gayyaceshi da ya gabatar da Maudhu’i a masallacin Juma’a, Inda kuma yayi fadakarwa akan Alamomin tashin Alqiyamah. Wanda kuma wannan fadakarwa ta jawo hankalin mutane akan ranar tsayuwa,wato Alqiyamah.

A ranar Talata 29/Aug./2006 Malam Yusuf ya fara jan Sallah a masallacin juma’a. Sakamakon Rashin lafiyar Limamin wancan lokacin Malam Shehu Qassim.

Haka kuma ranar juma’a, 8/ september/2006 Malam Yusuf ya fara fassara Huduba a Masallacin Juma’a Kuma a wannan lokacine aka tabbatar dashi Na’ibi na biyu.

Ranar Litinin 2/june/2008 Allah yayiwa Limamin Hadejia rasuwa Malam shehu Qassim, kuma bayan mutuwarsa ne Ranar Litinin 23/june/2006 aka tabbatarwa Malam Yusuf Imam ya zama Bubban Limamin Hadejia. Da misalin karfe tara (9:m) na dare.

A Ranar Juma’a 27/June/2008 Mai martaba Sarkin Hadejia Alh. Adamu A. Maje ya nada Malam yusuf a Matsayin Bubban Limamin Hadejia. Da misalin karfe (10:am) na safe. HADEJIA TO DATE!

Hadejia A yau! Hadejia, town and traditional emirate,
eastern Jigawa state, northern Nigeria. It lies
on the northern bank of the Hadejia River (a
seasonal tributary of the Komadugu Yobe,
which flows into Lake Chad). The emirate’s
savanna area originally included Hadejia and
six other small Hausa kingdoms that paid
tribute to the kingdom of Bornu.



About 1805, Umaru, a Fulani leader who held the
title sarkin Fulanin Hadejia,
pledged allegiance to the Fulani jihad (holy
war) leader, Usman dan Fodio.


Umaru's brother and successor, Emir Sambo
(reign 1808–45), officially founded the Hadejia
emirate in 1808, moved his headquarters to
Hadejia town, established a market, and
began to consolidate Fulani rule over the
small neighbouring Hausa kingdoms.


Emir Buhari (reigned
1848–50, 1851–63) renounced Hadejia’s
allegiance to the Fulani sultanate centred at
Sokoto in 1851, raided the nearby emirates
of Kano, Katagum, Gumel, Bedde, and
Jama’are, and enlarged his own emirate.

Hadejia was brought back into the Fulani
empire after Buhari’s death, but wars with
neighbouring Gumel continued until 1872.

In 1906 the British installed an emir, Haruna, (Maikaramba)
and incorporated the emirate into Kano
province.
The emirate became part of newly
created Jigawa state in 1991.


The town is now a market centre handling
cotton, millet, sorghum, fish, and the rice
grown in the river valley. It serves as an
important collecting point for peanuts
(groundnuts), an export crop. Cattle, goats,
guinea fowl, sheep, and donkeys are kept by
the local Hausa and Fulani peoples.
Several
small lime industries exist in scattered parts
of the area. Hadejia town is located on the
secondary highway between Gumel and
Nguru, which links it to the main highway at
Kano and to the railway at Kano and Nguru.

The new ideas generated as a result of their policies had brought together people of diverse (descent) linguistic and occupational groups under one
umbrella. Although ever since their migration into Hausa land, some fulani Jihadists in due course became confidants and advisers to some Hausa rulers, there was a strong and persistent tendency among the Jihadists of avoiding close association with HABE SARAKUNA, either because of
the fear or being contaminated with Illigally acquired wealth or because most of the Habe palaces remained a stronghold of various traditional cultssuch as BORI Cult.




This made the devoted Ulamas keep their distance from the rulers (sarakuna). It was the relationship between these two classes the Ulamas and the Habe rulers that
eventually led to the outbreak of the Jihad in Hausa land at the beginning of the 19th Century.
The condition of Hausa society at the eve of Jihad was anything but fair, especially the socio-economic system.




Virtually all the rulers were norminal Muslims and therefore hardly enforced the Sharia system. At the same time enforced excessive taxation. Yet in the midst of the suffering and hardship, the rulers continued to be corrupt, unjust and indifferent to the plight of the oppressed.




There seem to be some confusion as regards the exact time when the fulani Jihadists first came and established their wet-season camps in the plentiful grazing land of the Auyo/Hadejia riverrine savannah land, the confusion is due to the multiple causes of Nomadic Fulani movements in the
Nigerian Savannah in general and the Hadejia area in particular. H.M. Brice Smith, has placed the coming of the Fulani into the Hadejia area at themiddle or late 1700 A.D.




But according to A. Abdu Maigari, the Fulani came to Hadejia area from Machina in Borno during the 15th Century.
An early Fulani settler in Hadejia who became very influential in one Hardo Abdure dan Jamdoyji, wealthy Fulani who traced his Origin to Machina in Borno. Hardo Abdure established his dry season camp in Hadejia at Jarmari during the early 18th Century.
Jarmari is located few kilometres from Hadejia town. As the case will all Nomadic Fulani camps the one established by Hardo Abdure at Jarmari was not meant to be permanent abode.





Rather it was ment to serve the
purpose of their seasonal movements.

MOVEMENT FOR CREATION OF HADEJIA STATE SINCE 1975.

HADEJIA A YAU! The struggle for the creation of
Hadejia State traces its history back
to 1975 when the community
forwarded its request to the then
military head of state, the late
General Murtala Ramat Muhammad.
Since then, the community has
never failed in exploiting every
opportunity offered by the government for
the creation of more states.
According to findings, the request for the
creation of Hadejia State received a boost
between 1982 and 1983 when the then
National Assembly endorsed the request for
the referendum, but due to a change of
government, the long-awaited dream could
not be actualised.
Also in 1991, a similar request was put
before the then Military Head of State,
General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. In
1994 another request was submitted to the
then National Constitutional Conference
under late General Sani Abacha.
Pyramid Trust learnt that when the National
Constitutional Conference submitted its
report to the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC)
, the proposed Hadejia State was among the
seven states recommended for early
creation by the PRC.
The community, our correspondent learnt,
made a fresh request for the creation of
Hadejia state in 1996 through the Local
Government and Boundary Adjustment
Committee, a committee set up by the
federal government to re-examine the
recommendations of the National
Constitutional Conference on creation of
states and local governments as well as
border adjustments.
However, following the PRC’s
recommendation that suggested the
creation of one state in each of the six geo-
political zones, Hadejia community lost their
bid to the present Zamfara State being the
only state created from the North-West zone
then.
In October, 2009, the request for the
creation of Hadejia State was also
forwarded to the National Assembly for
endorsement and onward conveyance to
the executive arm of government for the
final approval. Furthermore, in 2009, a
memorandum requesting the creation of
Hadejia State was also presented to the
NASS. The community also requested the
creation of 11 additional local governments
that included Bualngu, Biram, Diginsa,
Dakaiyawa and Fadama local governments.
Others are Sarawa, Jarkasa, Kadira, Ruba,
Jabo and Ayama local government areas.
This makes the number of local
governments for the proposed Hadejia State
to 19, as initially, the Hadejia Emirate
comprises of only eight local government
that include Auyo, Birniwa, Guri, Hadejia,
Kafin-Hausa, Kaugama, Kirikasamma and
Mallam-Madori.
Findings indicated that the proposed
Hadejia State has a land mass of not less
than 7000sq km with a population of
1,245,571 according to the statistics of the
2006 National Population Census. The
population might have increased by now
given the average national growth rate of
2.83% per annum.
Under the provincial system of
administration, Pyramid Trust gathered,
Hadejia Emirate was the second largest
emirate in the then Kano province in terms
of size, economy, population and other
socio-economic indices. The area was also
blessed with enough human and natural
resources that include water and fertile soil
suitable for all kinds of agricultural activities.
However, just last Wednesday, the July 28,
2010, Hadejia community under the auspice
of Movement for the Creation of Hadejia
State again put another request before the
National Assembly for the creation of
Hadejia State.
The delegation was led to the NASS from
Jigawa State by the Speaker, Jigawa State
House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Ahmad
Sarawa.
In a separate presentation, the Speaker
informed the leaders of the NASS that, “From
the information available to us, each of the
requests previously put before the
concerned authorities made progress
towards realisation of our proposed state,
but only to be scuttled apparently due to the
undemocratic nature of the situation.”
Alhaji Adamu further recalled that the
proposed Hadejia State and its people were
the most unfairly treated in the history of
state creation exercise of the military
nationwide. He added that although
pessimistic Nigerians have the belief that
due to the cumbersome provision of the
constitution, new states could not be
created under a democratic setting, the
people of Hadejia do not share this
pessimism.
“We believe the National Assembly can break
that jinx and create more states during the
lifetime of the present administration. And
we hope that Hadejia State would be one of
the new states to b

A SHORT HISTORY OF HADEJIA BY MUSA USMAN MUSTAPHA.

HADEJIA A YAU!According to S.J. Hogben,
Hadejia town was founded in The 15th
Century. The assertion draws some authority
from the manuscript of the Kano chronicles,
where it was stated that, during the reign of
Yakubu Abdullahi Barjo who ruled Kano
from 1452AD to 1463AD. The King of
Machina Algalfati went to Kano with his
three Brothers. Sarkin Kano Yakubu gave
Sarkin Machina Algalfati the right to rule
Gaya and so he became the ruler of the
town. While one of Algalfati's brother went
to Rano where Sarkin Rano appointed him
the ruler of Dal. The second Brother
proceeded to Zazzau, where Sarkin Zazzau
appointed him the ruler of Gayan, And the
third Brother went to Garun Gabas, where
Sarkin Gabas appointed him the Ruler of
HADEJIA.

And established the dynasty which
ruled the town until the outbreak of the
19th century Jihad.
On the basis of this assertion, the town was
said to have been established sometime in
the 15th century, but the tradition which the
assertion was based on, contained certain
short comings which made its authenticity
doubtful. In the first place throughout the
period of our field work, not a single person
mentioned this tradition. And secondly
neither the tradition of Hadejia nor that of
the places (Kano, Gaya, Rano, Dal, Zazzau and
Gayan) mentioned the tradition, connect
their origins with each other.


And finally the fact that one of Algalfati's
brothers was appointed the ruler of the
town in the 15th century did not in any way
indicate that the town was established at
the time. In fact, if any thing, the tradition
only showed that the town was established
earlier than this development because a
ruler can only be appointed to an existing
town not the other way round.

THE 19TH CENTURY JIHAD AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HADEJIA EMIRATE.

In assessing the impact of the 19th century Jihadist movement in Hausa land, (a major development in the History of the region), scholars and students of History have agreed that the movement created a political community much larger than any that had existed in the region before then. The process involved the suppression of several sovereign politics that that have developed over several centuries in the area. There was no doubt that internal forces within Hausa land, such as the widening gap between the ruled and the rulers, as a result of the corrupt policies of the later, contributed to this transformation. It is also our belief that the Jihadists (as Intelligensia of the society) served as agents of the internal development that took place in Hausa land at the beginning of the 19th century. But one still needs to ask the question why and how did the Jihadist come to exert such an important historical influence?

The origin of the Fulani Jihadist is a subject that has given rise to many conroversies. One undisputed fact is that some centuries ago they occupied the region of Tekrur, Futa Toro,and Futa Jallon between the Senegal and Niger Rivers. Since then, it is believed that they have been moving Eastward through Massina and the Hausa states toward chad, Fombina and beyond At the time of their movement, an important political development was taking place in Bilad at Sudan, especially in Borno and Kano in the late 15th century, and early 16th century. The period of the Jihadist migration into the above areas is a period of radical political change associated with Mai Ali Ghaji (1470-1503) in Borno and Muhammed Rumfa (1463-1499) in Kano.

The new ideas generated as a result of their policies had brought together people of diverse (descent) linguistic and occupational groups under one umbrella.

HISTORY OF HADEJIA

HADEJIA HISTORY
Prior to the rise of the emirate Council in
Hadejia, the territory now known as Hadejia
Emirate or Kasar Hadejia, was made up of
seven separate and distinct kingdoms namely:
Garun Gabas, Auyo, Dawa, Fagi, Kazura,
Gatarwa and Hadejia. Unfortunately, these
kingdoms possessed neither historical
documents nor codified oral traditions which
could throw light on their histories. Our
knowledge of these Kingdoms therefore
remains obscure and scanty. Available oral
tradition tells us that the rulers of each of
these seven Gudiri States received their titles
from, and owed allegiance to the Mai of
Borno through the Galadima, whose seat was
at Nguru. Furthermore, the same tradition
tells us that Auyo and Garun Gabas were the
oldest of the seven Kingdoms. The kingdom
of Auyo together with Tashena and Shira of
Katagum emirate were said to be founded in
about 1400 A.D. by immigrants from
Baghirmi, while Hadejia and probably the rest
of the kingdoms were founded afterwards.
The founders and early settlers of all the
Kingdoms east of Kano, we are told, were
attracted to this area by its richness in terms
of grazing land, fertile landscape. and fishing
streams. Hadejia town, for instance, owed its
name and origin to a Kanuri hunter from
Machina, Hade, and his wife, Jiya, who, while
on hunting expedition, became attracted to
the area because of its rivers and other
natural endowments. Hade became the
founder of Hadejia and the first in a long line
of Hadejia Kings - thirty-two in all who ruled
the area before the nineteenth century jihad.
Unfortunately, the names of only three of
these kings have been preserved – Baude,
Musa and Abubakar (Gowers, 1921). The
town and the kingdom, and indeed later the
emirate, got their name when Hade and his
wife Jiya settled in the area, and the people in
the surrounding settlements started to
migrate to, or identify the area with, them. It
is said that the people often referred to the
settlement as Garin (town of) Hade and Jiya
and later merged the two names and simply
called it HADEJIYA, after the name of the man
and his wife. Be that as it may, what emerged
from the little we know is that Hadejia
together with the six other kingdoms in the
region were all at one time or the other
brought under the control of Borno Empire.
They constituted what the Bornoans called
the "Nguderi or "Gudiri' territories. They
remained under Borno's imperial control up
till the beginning of the Nineteenth Century
when the Fulani conquered them and
subsequently transformed them into what
became known as the Hadejia emirate.
The founders of the emirate were a group of
nomadic cattle herdsmen who were
descendants of one Hardo Abdure. They were
said to have come from Machina in western
Borno in search of grazing land; and by the
end of the 18th century a sufficient number
of them had settled in the area due to the
availability of rich pasture. Accordingly, owing
to the growing number of Fulani
communities in the area, Sarki Abubakar, the
last Hausa King of Hadejia, appointed one
Umaru B. Abdure as Sarkin Fulanin Hadejia in
about 1788.
